What is the piont of the movement of fungi?

to travel and help break down dead organics.

Except for say, the amanita mascara, Which actually co-exists with Evergreen trees to live, and share nutrients. What is the piont of the movement of fungi?
The plasmodium of some ';slime molds'; which are protists, can creep slowly to seek new sources of nutrition, this allows them to continue to survive. I am not really sure what else you might be talking about unless it is spore dispersal, since fungi don't actually move.
